Submissions

New Renaissance welcomes contributions from readers.  We are particularly looking for articles in the following areas: ecology, social justice, economics, human rights, animal rights, health, science, spirituality and the arts.

Articles should be written in a style which is accessible to a wide range of readers, as we have a broad audience.

We are also interested in receiving poetry as well as reviews of books, recordings, exhibitions and other cultural events. If you are interested in contributing reviews please contact us.

We are a non-profit organization and do not pay contributors, but any article that appears in our online edition will have a link back to your website of choice.

Original articles are preferred. (If you have already submitted your article to several hundred locations, then there is no need to submit it here). Send articles in an email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

We look forward to hearing from you.

The Editors
New Renaissance

Welcome to New Renaissance Magazine, the online Edition

New Renaissance Magazine is an online journal offering a holistic view of developments in the arts, science, culture, society, politics, spirituality and lots more.

In December 1989 we published the first printed version of New Renaissance Magazine, working on a small A-4 printing press in Mainz, Germany and using ancient computers and the first desk top publishing programs.

Times have changed and now here is New Renaissance magazine in a completely online format. We published the print edition right up till 2005 but have now suspended the print edition in favor of putting everything online.  Take a look around and browse the categories or use the search feature to find what you need.

In case you are wondering, New Renaissance is published by Renaissance Universal (RU). RU is composed of individuals located around the world who are inspired by the social and spiritual philosophy of P.R. Sarkar. The aim of RU is to bring about a socially just and healthy human society.

If you would like to contribute articles or have any questions, please contact us.

New Renaissance

New Renaissance is a quarterly magazine serving as a forum for progressive discussion on the future of society. Since 1990, it has been bringing a holistic perspective to the economic, environmental, political, social, spiritual and cultural concerns of today.

As its name implies, New Renaissance, hopes to inspire a creative burst of energy which will help humanity surmount its present global crisis. New Renaissance thus highlights the writings of people with a positive approach towards contemporary problems.

In an age of increasing economic disparity New Renaissance promotes ideas and programmes which will lead to a decentralised, cooperative and democratic economic system, and advocates a new humanism in which our concern is expanded to include all living beings.

Science and the arts are presented from the perspective of restoring them to their benevolent roles of serving true human needs.

Regular departments in the journal cover the environment, economics, philosophy, animal rights, human rights, health, science, spirituality and the arts, making New Renaissance a comprehensive source of alternative news and commentary.

Contributors to past issues have included: David Korten, Johan Galtung, Hazel Henderson, Riane Eisler, Jean Houston, Suzi Gablik, Peter Russell and P.R. Sarkar.
